Styled Shoot: Modern+ Vintage Inspiration

Our main goal with this styled shoot was to inspire brides to think outside of the box. We chose a bit more of a rustic outdoor venue but jazzed up the tables with sequins and colorful patterned linens. We wanted to show brides you don’t have to do farm tables and vintage décor for an outdoor reception. We are predicting that patterns will be a big trend in 2014. An outdoor venue is perfect for this because it’s like working with a blank canvas. You don’t have carpet or wallpaper to compete with. We also want to teach bride’s it’s ok to mix and match patterns, colors, textures and a bit of modern + vintage.

Georgia Ann’s Paperie

Q: What inspired you to get into the wedding industry?
A: I had the opportunity to work in Highlands, NC planning weddings for several months and just fell in love with it. After getting married a little over a year ago, I decided that I wanted to cater to the wedding industry in a different way through paper!

Q: What’s your favorite part of your job?
A: Definitely getting to sit down with a bride for the first time and hear her
thoughts and ideas about her invitations. I also love getting to deliver the
finished product to a client, it just makes me happy!

Q: What advice would you give brides during their planning process?
A: Don’t get too caught up in all of the details to the point of being stressed. Something I had to remind myself while planning my wedding was that getting married is so much more than one day. You are preparing for a life together, at the end of the day all of the little things don’t really matter.

Q: How do you separate yourself from other vendors?
A: There are so many great options for paper goods now, but it is our goal to provide excellent one on one communication and service. Whether that means meeting 20 times, going through 100 proofs, or emailing back and forth, we want the end product to be exactly what you want. Perfection is what I always want in every project, whether small or big. This is something that can be somewhat hard to find in big paper businesses.

Q: How would you describe your company’s style and motto?
A: “Bringing your ideas to life on paper.” An invitation, announcement, stationery, etc. sets the tone for the event and makes a statement about you personally. Therefore, it is my hope that every client feels like they get a product with excellent quality and extreme uniqueness.

Q: What do you love most being a part of each bride’s wedding day?
A: Though the part I am playing in the wedding day can be seen as somewhat small, to me it is one of the most important. The Save the Date or invitation sets the tone for the wedding. It allows the guest to know the atmosphere of the wedding, the colors, personality, and so much more and that makes me so excited!

Q: What are your favorite resources for finding new ideas and inspiration?
A: Style Me Pretty, Southern Weddings, Pinterest, Vogue, and Architectural Digest are just a few places I find inspiration!
