Mary and Mike tied the knot at one of my all time favorite church venues in Atlanta, Peachtree Christian Church. They later celebrated with friends and family at The W Hotel in Midtown with a modern and elegant theme that reflected the couple perfectly. They were such a joy to work with and really let us use our creativity in designing and planning the small details. Don’t miss the adorable elevator photos as they were sent off!
Blakely and Wright tied the knot at Second Ponce De Leon church on July 13th and celebrated at the Atlanta Country Club afterward. Yes, I know I am very very late on posting this but I figured better late than never Blakely and Wright were such a fun couple to work with and I loved her vision for this summer wedding. A special thanks to all of our wonderful vendors that help the entire day go so smoothly.
Oh THANK HEAVEN FOR LITTLE GIRLS…and Baby Showers…and glitter…and sequins! We wanted to take a moment in our off season to show off some of our other work. We LOVE weddings, but we also love all other celebrations! So in this post we wanted to show some of our ideas for a sophisticated glam baby shower that highlights all things girly! We had sooo much fun with the linens from La Tavola and great rentals from All Well Rents. One of my favorite things in design is to mix textures and patterns that compliment one another. You will find fun examples of this with the soft petal linen contrasted with the chevron sequin overlay.
Another one of my favorite things to do for parties is to have real glassware for beverages. It elevates the event a notch and it’s actually not expensive to rent them for your party. The ones we have here are the Daiquiri glass from All Well Rents. And the bonus is…you don’t have to wash them!! Just return them dirty!
So keep us in mind for all your party planning needs! We’d love to help style & design your next great event!
This blog post has been a bit daunting because I do not know how to capture the magic of this wedding in words and photos alone…however, I’m so excited to share it with you! Tricia & Eric were amazing clients…the kind we dream of! Their excitement to become husband and wife was infectious and the main focus of their short engagement. They viewed this commitment with the utmost reverence and couldn’t wait to throw the most unbelievable party to celebrate with their friends & family!
The decision to have the wedding on New Years Eve was carefully weighed and determined to be the perfect night to invite all their friends & family to a black tie, downtown Denver, winter soiree. Because Tricia & Eric were so busy during this short engagement, they allowed me the freedom to create a space & set the stage that would capture who they are, what their love represents, and how they wanted to celebrate…and because it was New Year’s Eve…we got to use LOTS of GLITTER!!
We selected one of my favorite downtown Denver Venues, The Studio Loft and Kevin Taylor’s at the Opera House. Both of these spaces offer the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable event. I was so inspired as the couple challenged me to blend Eric’s cool, modern, downtown style (seen in the venue) and Tricia’s boho, free spirited, romantic style (seen in the decor). And I couldn’t have done it without my amazing vendors! DesignWorks Denver helped bring my vision to life in the ceremony space with miles of draped fabric, candles and lighting. Then Liz & Cori from Cori Cook Floral Designs blew our minds with the floral installations and centerpieces. They always go above and beyond my expectations and that’s why they are my favorite gals to work with! And let’s not forget the linens from LA Tavola! Linens might be my favorite indulgence in event design and this couple let me go all out with tablescapes that made jaws drop.
But that’s enough from me…enjoy the photos brought to you by Preston Utley. And if you want to see Tricia & Eric’s wedding video check it here!
I know all of my previous and current brides have been anxious to see wedding photos and hear all about it, so what better than a detailed blog post! And here it goes….
I am not that girl that had her wedding planned since a little girl, believe it or not! I think that’s the best way to go about it though because you don’t have your heart set on a specific month or season of the year, or a specific theme in mind. Between my wedding schedule and Davis’ schedule we were very limited to having the wedding in December. Most brides would say this is not the ideal month for their wedding, but in the end you have to remember you’re just finally getting to marry the man of your dreams!! So, December 29th it was… As soon as we picked the date, I immediately was thinking a dreamy “Winter Wonderland” wedding! Having worked at the majority of the wedding venues in Atlanta, I wanted to do something a little different, a destination wedding but not too far for everyone. That’s when I decided the Farm at Old Edwards Inn would be perfect. The glassed in Pavillion made for a beautiful outdoor view but still keeping everyone warm. This extraordinary venue is located in the beautiful mountains of Highlands, NC. which added to the theme that much more.
I must say the most enjoyable part of the entire planning process was designing the reception, but that’s my favorite part of helping every bride! The venue was rustic but very elegant and classy. With it being during the Holidays, I wanted to keep it a little more formal and romantic. One of my favorite aspects to the tablescapes would have to be the sequin table linens for our estate table… a huge thank you to La Tavola for helping make this dream come true! Another one of my favorite elements was adding snow around every centerpiece on each table, it just completed the theme so perfectly! Our florist, Boukates, went over and beyond everything I had ever dreamed of… she executed my ideas so perfectly and even added a few surprises. One of the most rewarding moments of this entire process was when my event coordinators brought myself, Davis and my sister into the reception before any of the guest came in. I literally just kept spinning circles, tearing up and looking at how perfectly everything came together. All of that hard work, phone calls with my sister and mom, inspiration, diagrams, directions, ideas and dreams all came to life immediately! I can literally say our entire wedding was a dream come true, all thanks to my incredible vendors that I put all of my trust into.
The one thing that stressed me out was the weather forecast, because that was the one thing completely out of my control. Back in February when we got engaged I was nervous about having a wedding in the mountains during the winter season… thinking what if we get icy roads and nobody can make it up the mountain. That was when I decided it was time to trust God that He would allow for ideal weather on our wedding day. We really didn’t have many other options for a date! So I just had to keep reminding myself of this… especially when I woke up the morning of our wedding and it was pouring down rain for hours, and then to sleet and back to cold rain. About 20 minutes before I put my dress on, literally not a cloud in the sky or a single rain drop. So we all rushed outside for our photos to begin. About 10 minutes into photos, still not a cloud in the sky, it starts snowing!!!! It was such a dream! I had always thought in the back of my head, I wish it would snow, but only for a little bit and not stick so guest can still drive up the mountain… but wait I want it sunny too. Well it happened! I will say though, it was absolutely freezing at moments and towards the end of photos I couldn’t feel my fingers. Thank goodness for the UGG boots that I wore the majority of the time! The weather then cleared up for the rest of the day but just in time for our sparkler exit, it started snowing again! Such a perfect dream come true as we drove all the way back to our hotel in the snow.
So with all of that said, the most magical day of my life happened on December 29th 2012, and I will never forget marrying the man of my dreams. This wasn’t all about the perfect décor and crazy weather… it was the fact Davis and I waited so patiently for four and a half years for this day. I hope every bride will keep this in the back of their mind, as the planning can get stressful at times. You only get to have one wedding day with this man, enjoy every moment of it and take it all in because it flies by way too fast. It was just a bonus how perfectly smooth my entire day went!
This day could not have been as perfect as it was with out my amazing Matron of Honor (my sister/ wedding planner), parents and brother that immediately jumped in helping as soon as they all could. Not to mention I had 3 bridesmaids that are wedding planners, that helps a ton! A special thanks to our photographer, Mike Larson, for flying from California to share this special day with us and capture these incredible photos!
First of all I want to apologize for how delayed this blog post is, I’m finally catching up on things as we ring in the new year. But I knew I wanted to put some good time into this wedding’s post.
Jamie and Jeremy tied the knot on September 29, 2012 at The Fox Theatre in Atlanta! I must say, this wedding ranks in my TOP FIVE for 2012 for so many different reasons! Getting to know both Jeremy and Jamie over the past year was such a blessing, they were such an incredible couple to work with. I also will say that Jamie’s entire family was such a joy to work with as well. Jamie was another one of our very detail-oriented brides that had put thought into every detail. The joy of all this was getting to see her let loose the day of her wedding and enjoy every second of this special day. I hope she truly inspires the rest of my brides… I’ve never seen a happier bride just glowing the entire night. The best part of this was it let me know we’ve done our job by letting her trust us to handle all of those details she had planned out over the past year! One other reason why this goes into my top five is because of all the wonderful vendors and you can see their credits listed below. A special shout out goes to Kelle and Rob for the incredible photos and Rupert’s Orchestra for the extremely entertaining evening.
The décor carried the theme perfectly through the entire event. From the candlelight, lanterns, deep red accent colors and romantic flowers complimented The Fox Theatre’s theme wonderfully.
Meeting Cory & Greg and getting to work with them was such a joy! Their love for one another is centered on a deep friendship and humor that keeps everyone around them laughing. They also have a brilliant sophistication that was reflected in their Black Tie Wedding in Downtown Denver at Kevin Taylor’s at The Opera House. This August Wedding was one of my favorites this summer!
And we can’t forget the fun in the Photo Booth! Brought to you my Bamboo Booth…you can tell this was a fun group!!
Many Thanks to ALL of the great Vendors who made this wedding happen!
This was a fairytale wedding for such a special couple, Becky and Chris! We meet so many couples who are in love and excited for their big wedding day, but this couple’s love was infectious!! This colorful wedding was inspired by the colors of the peacock and took place at the iconic Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs.
Jennifer and JP tied the knot on 5/27/12 with their stunning ceremony that took place at Rock Springs Presbyterian Church and their reception at Callanwolde in Atlanta. The floral decor was one of my favorite aspects of this wedding, with a huge thanks to Darryl Wiseman. What another fabulous couple to work with, along with their families. We enjoyed every moment of it!
Jessica and Brad tied the knot on 5/12/12 at The Swan House in Buckhead. This is definitely one of the most beautiful estate venues in Atlanta and the photos are a must-see! They had some very unique details incorporated, including their string trio that performed the ceremony and cocktail hour playing unique songs from Michael Jackson to Coldplay… and not to mention Sweet Home Alabama for those Auburn Tiger fans.
Radford and Grant tied the knot on April 13th of 2012 and it was such an honor to be a part of their special day! The ceremony was held at the oldest church in Thomasville that was restored by the Groom’s father. It was a very intimate ceremony with a fun-filled after party at Pebble Hill Plantation. The southern elegance truly reflected the bride and groom!
Planning Radford and Grant’s wedding in Thomasville was so much fun and really inspired me to start sending more brides to Pebble Hill! What an incredible venue, pictures will never be able to describe its beauty.
